80:17 Perish the human! How unthankful he is!
# قُتِلَ الإِنسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ 17
80:18 From what did He create him?
# مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ 18
80:19 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him,
# مِن نُّطْفَةٍ خَلَقَهُ فَقَدَّرَهُ 19
80:20 then eased his path for him,
# ثُمَّ السَّبِيلَ يَسَّرَهُ 20
80:21 then causes him to die and buries him,
# ثُمَّ أَمَاتَهُ فَأَقْبَرَهُ 21
80:22 then, He will raise him when He wills.
# ثُمَّ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنشَرَهُ 22
80:23 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him.
# كَلاَّ لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ 23
80:24 Let the human reflect on the food he eats,
# فَلْيَنظُرِ الإِنسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ 24
80:25 how We pour down rain in abundance,
# أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا المَاءَ صَباًّ 25
80:26 and split the earth, splitting,
# ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الأَرْضَ شَقاًّ 26
80:27 how We made the grain to grow,
# فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَباًّ 27
80:28 grapes, and fresh fodder,
# وَعِنَباً وَقَضْباً 28
80:29 and the olive, and the palm,
# وَزَيْتُوناً وَنَخْلاً 29
80:30 the densely tree'd gardens,
# وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْباً 30
80:31 and fruit and pastures,
# وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَباًّ 31
80:32 for you and for your herds to delight in.
# مَتَاعاً لَّكُمْ وَلأَنْعَامِكُمْ 32
80:33 But, when the Blast comes,
# فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ 33
80:34 on that Day each person will flee from his brother,
# يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ المَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ 34
80:35 his mother and his father,
# وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ 35
80:36 his wife and his children.
# وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ 36
80:37 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied.
# لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ 37
80:38 Some faces will shine,
# وَجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ 38
80:39 laughing and joyful,
# ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ 39
80:40 whereas some faces will be covered with dust
# وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ 40
80:41 and veiled with darkness.
# تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ 41
80:42 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral.
# أَوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الكَفَرَةُ الفَجَرَةُ 42
